Historical Context
When Gandhi was in his early years, India was just starting to rebel against British control. The factors that led up to Gandhi taking action are the British ruling India unfairly and that they were taxing too many things. Also, Gandhi got experience with fighting for rights because in South Africa he was fighting for Asians rights and realized that the same thing was happening in his own country. Lastly, the fact that Gandhi tried to be a lawyer in South Africa but ended up back in India marching for independence.
